What Can I Expect After Taking High Doses Of Clonidine?

Question: What can I expect after taking 10 - 0.1mg tablets of clonidine?
Brief Answer:
There are some serious effects
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
at first hypertension may be a concern but hypotension will come later followed by bradycardia (low heart rate). Central nervous system depression with symptoms like drowsiness and somnolence. Respiratory depression is likely too. Arrhythmias are possible and ECG monitoring is warranted.
If you've just taken them then you should visit the ER at once, to have them removed from your stomach and take activated charcoal to prevent absorption. Close monitoring will be needed to avoid the overdosage complications.
Kind Regards!

Will that amount cause death or just problems that will pass?
Brief Answer:
Only hypotension and bradycardia probably
Detailed Answer:
This is not a very big amount, so - normally - this dose won't be lethal but nobody can predict whether a lethal arrhythmia will occur or not (for example), so you'd better do what I've suggested in my previous answer.
