Brief Answer:
About Hashimoto thyroiditis...

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Positive anti-TPO antibodies are suggestive for autoimmune disease (Hashimoto thyroiditis).

These high antibodies attack the thyroid gland destroying it. When more than 80% of the gland is destroyed, it does not produce enough hormones causing underactive thyroid or hypothyroidism.
For the moment it functions normally but you need to check TSH once in 6 months in order to treat underactive thyroid as soon as possible. Selenium supplements can lower these antibodies.

Hope I have answered your query.
