Brief Answer:
Prostate cancer is a cancer of the prostate gland

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The prostate is one of the organs of the Genito Urinary system and is situated at the junction of Bladder Neck and Urethra and it encircles the urethra.

The main function of Prostate is it secrets an enzyme called PSA which liquefies semen so that sperm can move freely and is thus important for the survival of sperms.

This Prostate gland may undergo malignant changes as the age advances more specifically after the age of 50 years.

The best screening tool to suspect cancer of Prostate is the elevation of PSA which requires further investigations like Biopsy, MRI etc.

Prostate cancer usually presents with obstructive Voiding urinalysis symptoms like frequency. Poor stream, blood in urine, urgency etc.

You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital Rectal examination who will be the best judge to establish the diagnosis

Hope I have answered your query.
