What Cause Pain In Upper Abdomen, Nausea And Vomiting?

default
Posted on Mon, 27 Jun 2016
Question: Hi, well lets see...I am deemed healthy. my tests are normal..I did a gall bladder flush and it seemed to remove the"sand" that was seen on the ultrasound, The doc that read it, did not even comment on it, stating that the ultrasound was completely normal. I am scheduled next month to visit with a surgeon for a colonoscopy. I still have the symptoms, I force myself to eat protein, fruit and veggies(steamed) which has seemed to maintained my weight. Going to see a homeopathic doc on tuesday. I will check everything out. Then probably end up with a second or 3rd opinion. Any suggestions? I keep myself busy during the day so I do not think about my abdomen being bloated, and feeling bad.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

gallbladder flushes don't help much... (if you're referring to a diet that is). Sand in the ultrasound is not usually a cause of pain. A biliary colic (not a cholecystitis) causes short lived pain (less than 1 hour maximum) on the upper abdomen with nausea and/or vomiting 30-60 minutes after a fatty meal.

Your diet may help with your gallbladder but I doubt that this is the real cause. Bloating is usually a sign of intestinal problems but any abdominal organ may be its origin.
Are you having problems with your stool like diarrhea or constipation (perhaps alternating between normal-diarrheal-constipated stool)? Do you have a lot of gas? Are you relieved after going to the toilet? Please provide some more details...
