Question: I'm a female 33 yrs of age. I'm suffering from PCOD for the past 5 years and hormonal imbalances for the past 2 years..I am an above average woman but recently for the past some years I'm affected with chronic symptoms of guilt, fear and frequently having panic attacks.. At that time I can't resist myself from shouting, crying and being uncontrollable.... After that suffering with head ache or sensations in the head and tiredness or sleepiness . I'm suffering from over possessiveness and fear of losing love from my husband.. This behaviors makes everyone go away from me because I can't communicate properly in turn creating problems in family and profession. What should I do? This makes hindrances in doing everyday chores. Please suggest a way to come out from this.

Brief Answer:
I think there is need for further evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

The feeling of guilt, fear, over possiveness, uncontrollable behavior with positive history of PCOD suggests possibility of mood disorder. The most likely diagnosis for your condition is major depressive disorder although the possibility of dysthymia can not be ruled out.

In my opinion there is need for further evaluation to make proper diagnosis and treatment.

In my opinion SNRI group of medications such as venlafaxine or desvenlafaxine will make a better choice considering your symptom profile.

I hope this helps you.

Brief Answer:
Yes there is ample hope

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for follow up.

I do not think you need to lose hope as the current disease condition is completely treatable (Can be treated) with either medications or psychotherapy. I understand that it may not be curable (can be eliminated) but being treatable is what we need on most occasions.

Most individuals need treatment for one to two hours after five years of illness although individual response varies from person to person.

I hope this helps you further.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
