Question: Hi doctor today morning i have gone for Upper GI Endoscopy Test and the result is Acid Peptic disese. Please let me know the treatment

You have not mentioned about the findings of endoscopy. If it is just gastritis, then you may have to take 4-8 weeks of medications like esomeprazole. But if there is an ulcer, then for two weeks you need to take treatment for H.pylori infection ( available as various brands like Sompraz HP) followed by 6 weeks of medications like esomeprazole. Thanks alot for your quick response doctor.Plese suggest me complete solution whether this will cure 100% if i take proper medicines.Here are my endoscopy findings Oesophagus :- Lax lower Sphincter Stomach :- Antral Non Erosive Gastrities Rapid Urease Test for HPylori Negative Duodenum-Cap :- Normal 2nd Part :- Noraml Waiting for your response.. Brief Answer: Need information Detailed Answer: Hi, As per your endoscopy report, the valve between the foodpipe and stomach is lax. Also you have gastritis affecting the distal part of the stomach. H.pylori the most common cause of gastritis/ulcer is negative in your case. So as said earlier you need to take medications like esomeprazole for 4-8 weeks. Yes it is 100% curable.
