What Causes PID And UTI?
Question: my girl friend was told her text clinical note/diagnosis is PID,UTI what does this means and how can she prevent this also what cause this infection?

2. Pelvic inflammatory disease is a condition that occurs due to mild low grade infection of the female genital tract. This is initially treated by medicines and the patient is educated to use safe sexual health practices. PID is caused by infection due to bacteria if a lady does not maintain genital hygiene. This includes preventing vaginal and genital infections and sexually transmitted infection.
3. Urinary tract infection is a condition where there is an infection of the lower urinary tract due to entry of bacteria in to the urinary tract. This can happen due to not drinking enough water, using public washrooms and holding urine for long time. This is treated with medicines. UTI can be avoided by drinking adequate water and visiting washrooms regularly. Precautions are to be taken when using public toilets which includes washing the toilet seat before using.

Is there a chance am contacted with some kind of a disease through her cos I have sex with her without using condom at times
