What Causes UTI When Diagnosed With Asthma, Hashimoto's Thyoiditis, PCOS And Obesity?
Question: My daughter went to the ER for abdominal pain on Friday and was diagnosed with a severe UTI. She was prescribed Ceftin and Lortab . She went to the ER tonight with severe lower right abdominal pain and nausea. A CT of the abdomen without contrast was done to rule out kidney stones. The nurse told her the cause of her pain was UTI because the antibiotic did not begin to work yet. The ER Doctor told her she did not have kidney stones or appendicitis but they were unable to detect any problems with her ovaries (she has PCOS). She was prescribed "several pain pills and Zofran. I'm concerned . I don't know if Diverticulosis /Diverticulitis is something familial but my sister, my father, and her father have/had it. I am in PA and my daughter (20years old) is in VA at college. She also has a history of asthma, Hashimotos Thyoiditis, PCOS and Obescity. What shall we do? I'm driving to VA tomorrow. Thanks
