Posted on Wed, 16 Mar 2016
Question: Thank you! I have a badly bruised right leg along the inside and top area of bone.
I do not recall hitting my leg although it is possible I have forgotten.
Bruise is very sore to touch and aprx 10" long. Aprx 4 days since first discovered.
Should I see my doctor? I do not have any health issues so not sure this is anything alarming.
Sincerely, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Consult the doctor/ GP

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

If you are able to move and walk with the leg then its unlikely that there is a fracture. However, its always a good idea to rule it out. If there is gross discoloration or swelling associated with pain upon mobility then its even more imperative. After examining the injured leg, x rays lower limb in AP Lateral views can be advised. If no fracture or dislocation is found then NSAIDs can be prescribed. It would be a good idea to consult your doctor.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
