Thank you. Today is day 5. It is almost gone today... but still there. If it was herpes would it over resovled it self in less than a week?
Brief Answer:
Unlikely be due to Herpes Simplex infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Herpes simplex infection is a self limiting disease. Recurrent herpes will heal within 5-7 days whereas the primary episode will last for 10-14 days. Herpes will manifest with group of tiny vesicles filled with clear fluid then ulcerates to form tiny grouped ulcers and not as a reddish swelling.
Even a furuncle (bacterial infection) can go without specific treatment in most of the immunocompetent individuals!
You can ignore this spell if it healed completely. If the problem recurs consult your physician.

This is what it looks like today. Still there but smaller. Does not appear to have lquid inside. Does not hurt but i do notice it.
Brief Answer:
Better to consult your doctor to decide any intervention need or not.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Now it starts shrinking. But whether there is fluid is there or not can be confirmed by your doctor as he is an expert and would be difficult for you. Even if it is not interfered it will get organized with a slight thickening. If the pus let out, then it will heal nicely without much scar.
