What Causes A Boil On The Hip?
Question: Have what appears to be a boil on my left hip by my lower abdomen....very hot to touch....area of redness has dramatically increased over the past three days. Also suffering weird muscle spasms, but have been out in the sun...not sure if spasms are related

It might be folliculitis, but need examination to confirm. Presently I while suggest you to wash the are with cool water and apply neosporin ointment. You can take tablet ibuprofen, which has both analgesic and antiinflammatory property, which will be helpful. I'll be able to comment on the need of antibiotic on examination.
If there symptoms increase in intensity, I would suggest you to get yourself examined by local doctor.
