What Causes A Burning Pain Under Shoulderbade?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Burning pain is usually related to conditions affecting nerves.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted all the history well and understood your concerns.
The commonest cause of ''burning pain'' under shoulder blade I can think about in your case is one of the following:
Pinched nerve.
Shingle's that is Herpes Zoster now or post-herpetic neuralgia.
Please get it checked for any rash, changes in skin.
Neurological examination along with necessary investigations will help further.
If the pain is not related to Herpes then you may need an MRI for the related spine area that is thoracic if nerve pinching is suspected.
Nice to know AICD worked well.
I hope you are now cancer-free as it was there 15 years ago.
Altered dosages of Amitriptyline can help for the ''burning pain''.
