What Causes A Burning Red Rash Inside The Vagina After A Digital Sex?
26th of july i had oral and digital sex with a partner, it was quite rough and i bled pretty bad the nex day. 4 days later I had digital sex again and used a vibrator, which i think i may be allergic to, as it burns whenever I use it..this was also very dry and very rough and painful as they tried to shove their whole hand in there.
a little over a week ago i noticed a red rash on both side (opposite to each other) inside my vagina. it not painful to touch, doesnt hurt to pee, no discharge etc.
apart from the 2nd or 3rd day it hasn't really changed. ive asked 3 drs, and went to the sexual health clinic.. all except one dr thinks its allergic reaction or trauma. i have oral hsv 1 and i spoke to my partner who said they have never had an outbreak (im aware that 90% of people have no symptoms) but he is going to get tested on monday. i do keep irritating the area by poking and touching it as im really worried. what do you think?
It is probably not herpes but chances should be ruled out

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in Healthcaremagic.com.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
From your history and the pictures you have uploaded, it does not look like herpes. I would agree with your previous doctors' opinion that it is probably due to trauma or allergic reaction. But this rash has been there since last one week right? And any sexual exposure recently? And any rash or itching or tenderness since 26th july?
Kindly answer the above so that I can help you further.
For now, dont worry; but to rule out herpes I believe you should get a culture done from vaginal swab. It will reveal if there is any infection or not. If it is not itchy, there is no tenderness you need no medications or ointments right now.
Hope I have answered your question.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
Okay lets wait for the results
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
I believe you meant 26th January and not 26th July in your initial query.
Anyways, if your last exposure was 20 days ago and the lesions look as mentioned above, I still believe it is traumatic and/or allergic.
You have not mentioned what blood test you have undergone. Lets wait for the results though. And it would be better if you can get a culture done. In that way, your anxiety will be completely relieved.
Wish you good health.
Regards.
Don't worry; herpes is very unlikely
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
You can ask for a swab but it will relieve your own anxiety only.
Herpes lesions dont look like this, it is very unlikely.
Don't worry.
You dont need to undergo any more tests.
Just wait for one or two weeks, it will resolve.
Regards.
Let the reports come; get a swab done
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
I have seen the recent pictures.
Yes, the rash is still there.
It might take some more time to resolve.
From the pictures though, it seems some sort of infection has persisted.
It would be better to get a swab culture done.
Also let the blood reports come.
Depending on the results, further management can be planned.
Regards.
You can stop worrying
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Yeah you can stop worrying now.
A local focus of infection might be there as suggested previously and a course of antibiotic like coamoxyclav will take care of it.
Genital herpes is ruled out in any case.
Relax and keep patience.
The lesions will resolve.
Hope this was helpful.
Wish you good health.
Regards.
