Brief Answer:
knee arthritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the question.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.

The symptoms that you have mentioned are suggestive of knee arthritis.
In this condition, the lubricant fluid inside the knee joint is very less in amount with destruction of joint cartilage.
This leads to friction of the opposing bones causing the crackling sounds.

You should get an Xray / MRI of the knee joints done to assess the degree and stage of arthritis.

Stage 1 and 2 arthritis can be managed by medicines, knee strengthening exercises and physiotherapy.Inra-articular injections also can help.

Last stage-stage 3 arthritis mostly needs a knee replacement surgery.

Do let me know the reports of the Xray / MRI once they are done so that i can guide you further.

At present, you can wear a knee brace while walking / climbing stairs and take anti inflammatory tablets like ibuprofen if it is associated with pain.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to ask me any follow up queries that you may have.

Thank you.
Kind regards.
