What Causes A Hard Lump In Between Buttocks?

Further information required...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.
Before running into final conclusions, I'd ask to have a photo of your anal area in order to evaluate the changes there. Although you say it's not visually noted, I want to make sure about the changes there.
Next, from what you are describing, the bump is from inside of your anus and not in the outer skin area. Here I need to stop and ask a few things to clarify your case:
- you say that you have had surgeries to remove cancer cells/spots before without mentioning where? Can you please tell were the cancer cells removed from colon? or other parts of your body?
- if the bump would be from syphilis or medicines, they could have been painful. But, the bump you notice is inside and not painful, that makes me think over colon problems: perhaps it is not well emptied (possibly due to constipation after doxycycline use as it alters the intestinal flora) or any other mass that should be further investigated with colonoscopy..
- again, an abscess or infection bump does hurt while tumor bumps or hemorrhoids or distended colon do not hurt.
Looking forward to have the requested info and photo in.

As the bump is felt inside;colonoscopy is advised for further evaluation...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXXXX,
Sorry for the late reply due to my XXXXXXX clinical overload.
Coming back to your problem:
- as the bump is feeling inside and taking into account your personal history of mass removed from colon, currently treating syphilis with doxycycline, and having a large bowel movement since started this treatment; taking all this into account, I can imagine that the bump is the swollen colon from from the large bowel movement.
Hemorrhoids are to consider too; however, you are not reporting any anal bleeding during this large bowel movement.
Syphilis chancre are also to consider as the lump is painless; and can be ruled out after examining the colon with colonoscopy.
I advise to:
- increase fluids intake
- take good personal hygiene
- take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- go to toilet each time you feel to have a bowel movement; do not delay
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have further queries.
