What Causes A Infected Spot On Leg?
Question: My daughter has a spot on her leg that starts like an ingrown hair. It starts itching, gets a big red whelp around it and then an infection head forms. She uses a warm jar to pull out the infection and blood. Afterwards there is a big hole in her skin. She has them on her stomach and on the inside an top of her thighs. How do we treat and prevent these from coming back?

Firstly I would suggest you not to tamper the boils by use of hand or pulling it out it may cause problems. She seem to be getting recurrent boils. I suggest to collect the fluid from boils to be collected on swab and tested for fungal elements and culture sensitivity for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria and fungal infections. She must then take the treatment according. Practice good personal hygiene. She must be taken to dermatologist for proper evaluation and prescription of antibiotics for application.
