What Causes A Itchy Rash Around Mouth, Lips And Swelling In Mouth?
Question: I have a rash around my whole mouth, it consist of little pimples that look like they have a white head on the top, sometimes there are about three other times four. Its started about a month ago, I thought it was my dry lips but now it has spread to both corners, under my lip and it looks like acne. The inside of my mouth feels dry and swollen too. I can breathe fine, I remember this rash came out about 10 years ago and i received some creme from a dermatologist my lips are burning and itching. but the rash is more around the circumference of my lips,

I am sorry to hear that you are having a rash around you mouth and lips. This is probably pustular eczema. This very common and can occur from having dry lips that become infected. The infection actually makes the eczema worse. I would recommend that you see your medical provider for treatment. you will probably need both a topical steroid and a topical antibiotic. The combination with help stop the infection and stop the irritation. You could try using over the counter hydrocortisone and neosporin. I would apply a thin layer of hydrocorstisone around the lips followed by the neosporin. Try that for 2-3 days and see if it improves. If it does not then you will need to start a more potent steroid and antibiotic.
