What Causes A Large Lump And Swelling In The Elbow?
Question: what is cause and treatment for swollen elbow? Large pulpy mass - no pain.
The elbow has a large lump on it the size of a golf ball for past 3 weeks. No pain. Very soft and squishy. Will it go away by itself or do I need to have it pierced and drained? Thank you for your advice.

I have studied your cases. It is most probably olecranon bursitis. In this condition there is accumulation of fluid in the elbow joint.This can be due to repeated fiction at elbow.I have following suggestions for you.
1.Needle aspiration of fluid
2.Steroids injection can be given in elbow.
3.Compression bandage
Most probably this injection will help you.If injection does not work then you may need to remove this bursa surgically. I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
