What Causes A Lump Around The Vagina?

Question: Hi,
I need help knowing if i need to go get treatment.
About 3 days ago i noticed some lumps around the top of my vagina.
They looked like ingrown hairs.. but there is one that looks a lot larger than the other two.
The other two developed a yellow head, i popped them and they seem to be reducing in size. But the bigger one is still there and has gotten more painful. I tried popping it and it seems to have made it worse. What should i do?

Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
According to your complaints you seem to be having folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicles.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply topical antibiotic like neosporin ointment on the affected areas twice daily for 5-7 days and take anti inflammatory medicines like tablet ibuprofen for pain.
If the lesion doesn't improve in 2 days you will have to take oral antibiotic like tablet cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5 days.
Oral antibiotics are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
