What Causes A Lump At The Incision Site After An Oophorectomy?

Question: I had surgery for the removal of both ovaries on 12/19. I had one incision on the left side which took both ovaries out lapascoply . I have a lump the size of a golf ball and have ice on it. I think its a hematoma and don't know if I should go to the ER. I get no response from the emergency answering service for my doctor. I had one of these once before in my right side from an oblation on my heart. But the doctors broke it up and explained I would have the blood disapate. I don't know if I should try and break it up. Please help me.
