What Causes A Missed Period While Having A Cyst In The Right Ovary?

Question: Hi Doctor,

I have missed periods. My last date was 20 march 2018 and it is now 10 days above. I got my UPT checked it is negative, home test os also negative and Got my TVS done that shows Right ovary cyst 51*47mm and also got my B-HCG done which is >0.10. Can you please help why I got my periods missed. I have always have regular periods and I have 8 years old. I am very much worried about the cyst which I have in my right ovary

Sorry I don't want to have another child

I have gone through the details. I would like to know what type of cyst it is? If its simple cyst there is nothing to worry, it will disappear eventually. For missing your period, I would suggest you get your thyroid levels checked.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

Nabothian cyst is a benign or harmless cyst. Usually they are asymptomatic and they do not go away on their own. As the cyst is in ovary you need not remove it. If you are very worried, you can go for removal of the cyst.
