What Causes A Open Sore On Left Buttock Cheek After Anal Sex?
Question: I realized a few days ago that I had an open sore on my left butt cheek and I just want to see if you think it is hsv2. It never itched and was painless. I've never had anal sex, but two weeks ago I did have sex with a female friend of mine who I do know has hsv2. I used a condom the entire time, but I know that it isn't 100% effective. it's kind of healing now, but I have pictures below.

It doesn't appear to be Herpes.
Herpes usually presents with fluid filled, grouped vesicles that are very painful and itchy.
Picture doesn't show any grouped vesicles. These are not painful according to your history which completely rules out the diagnosis of Herpes.
It could be probably a superficial bacterial infection.
It is good to hear that it is healing now.
If it doesn't heal in few days or if that ulcer worsens, I would suggest you to consult your dermatologist for detailed examination.

Okay that's comforting. I'm seeing my general practice tomorrow. I do have another question though. If a breakout was on my butt, would I still be able to transmit through my penis? or is it only transmitted by direct contact with the blisters?
