What Causes A Pinching Pain At The Left Side Of The Vermillion Border?
Question: hello doctor
since today early morning the left side vermillion border close to the centre point of the vermillion border hurts. it feels lie a pinching pain sometimes. the skin below the lip also burns . its been 10 days since the dental cleaning. i am so scared doctor . what should i do ? should i start taking any anti precautionary tablets or creams. i am so stressed out and freaked out . please help me . i should tell you the lower set of teeth gums are also hurting me for the past two days especially the gums between the centre of two teeths is slightly swollen and it hurts ( can this pain be causing the lip pain also which is just outside - i mean if you press that part of lip which i am mentioning to you it will touch that part of gum which i am mentioning right now) hope you got me .

I have seen the attached photographs and gone through your complaints.
The pictures are fine and there are no signs of herpes.
There is no need of any precautionary medicines and creams.
This pain and burning seems to be related to the gum pain you are having.
I would recommend you to take anti inflammatory medicines like tablet ibuprofen.
It will help in relieving your symptoms.
Also continue with hydrocortisone cream and sebamed lip balm.

I will attach few more pics that I took just few seconds before. There is a small rash like in the skin below the lips just below. It kind of hurts when touched and also sometimes itchs. Now i have few questions
1) it’s been 10 days since that dental cleaning should I still be scared of herpes what do you think in this case?
2) my lips both the corners feels dry inspire of me applying lip balm three to four times s day any problem in that?
3)should I keep a watch on the vermillion border I mean look out ? Please suggest and help me

The incubation period of herpes infection is 3-12 days.Already 10 days have passed.

Do you doubt something .... is that the reason you told me to keep watch. I did touch the rash couple of times and I do not remember whether I then touched face or my dress? Is it ok then. Also earlier you mentioned that incubation period is 5 days now 3-12 days . So is it exactly till 12 th day I should keep a watch I am asking you this because today is 11th day . Please could you clarify me these it’s so terrifying and scared
