What Causes A Prominent Knot On The Head?
Question: Hi . i had a 3 months old and had a knot his head and look like a blood inside his head but couple hours it disappeared. What could that mean ?
Brief Answer:
Possibly due to spasm of muscle fibres
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic
I have gone through your query. I think that it was not a blood clot but rather it was possibly a muscle whose fibres had gone into spasm. As the muscle fibres later relaxed the knot went away.
I do not think that it is a cause for concern. Keep an eye. If anything else seems out of place, let me know.

Well he passed away. And the dad went to jail cuz the coronor said he have a knot on his head and i think thats probably why he passed away . its not are fault that the doctor said his head is fine.
Brief Answer:
Condolences
Detailed Answer:
I am sorry to hear about your loss. Clots are not apparent from the outside and CT Scan or other similar investigations need to be done for confirmation. I am not aware of the symptoms he had and whether that warranted a detailed evaluation. But since the doctor said his head was fine, I doubt if there was anything suspicious warranting a deeper look.
My condolences once again. But regarding his dad going to jail (assumably due to suspicion of non-accidental injury) you can put the genuine story and get a doctor to evaluate the case. I think the XXXXXXX can corroborate and free him of the allegations.

So its the doctors fault that told us that his head was fine when i told them it looks like blood inside and a bump on his head ?
Brief Answer:
Not necessarily
Detailed Answer:
It's not necessarily the doctor's fault. It is a matter of what is externally discernable. If the doctor thought that there are chances of non-accidental injury to the child, it creates an apprehension. Surely you have your chance to place your end of the story to put an end to this cause of apprehension and to prove that the untoward event was not a result of some negligence. Hopefully the findings can be correlated with the story you place. If there is a lack of correlation, the problem begins.
