Brief Answer:
I will go for a contrast enhanced CT scan of the chest

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Noted the history, medical history, current medications and understood your concerns and question.
I were you, I would go for contrast enhanced CT scan of the chest to know better diagnosis so that further investigations and management can be done if directed by the report of a CT scan.
X-ray gives only a preliminary diagnosis and a nodule at the age of 76 needs to be investigated.
I hope this answers your query.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
With warm regards.
