What Causes A Recurrent Black Spot On Penis Between The Shaft And Glans?

Question: Hi,
There is a small black thing that appears under my penis, between the shaft and the glans. It appears and goes away after a few weeks. This has been happening for many years now. There is no itching or irritation of any kind. I need a permanent solution for this problem if possible. I have attached a photo for your reference.
Regards,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
An open comedone
Detailed Answer:
hello thank you for writing to us
I have read your question and j have also reviewed the image
it is an open comedone i. e blackhead. I suggest you to use tretinoin 0.025% cream (tretin cream 0.025%) once daily at night for a few days . tretinoin is comedolytic and would help resolve it in a few days
regards

Brief Answer:
If it recurs I woukd suggest cauterisation
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
You may use this cream for some time and let it resolve. Hopefully it will not recur. However, if this recurs you may get it cauterised with an electrocautery machine by visiting a dermatologist. This procedure should be permanent.
