What Causes A Red, Itchy And Spreading Rash On Hands And Body?
Question: I have a itchy, red, spreading rash that started on my hands, but is now all over my body - including in my hair. Low grade fever around 100.2 and very tired. Had a sore throat last week but didn't think anything of it. Have had flu shot, so it isn't that. I am also a Stage 4 Kidney Failure patient. The itching is driving me nuts. What is wrong?

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
1. Can you please provide a photo of the rash that is spreading all over your body?
2. Having sore throat might be due to flu. Although you got the flu shot, perhaps the virus is not the same of the vaccine you was immunized. If another new type of virus,then, it can be the cause to the sore throat you had.
3. Strep throat is also to rule out by culture of throat swab. It is associated with sore throat, fever and sometime body rash.
4. Kidney and liver function should be also evaluated as respective problems can be associated with body rash.
