What Causes A Sensible Area To Touch Between Shoulder And Elbow On Hand?
For the past day I've been having a small area between my shoulder and elbow on my left hand that is very sensible at every touch. It doesn't hurt but i can feel any touch. It has no irritation or any other visible sign.
What could it be? Should i see a doctor ?
Nostalgia paresthetica most probably

Hi,
Welcome to HCM..
After reading history, I deeply feel that most probably you may be having condition called nostalgia paresthetica. It is a chronic condition in which there is a changed sensation in a localised area of the skin. Most common site is back below the scapula. But, in your case, it is on back of left arm between shoulder and elbow. Visible changes are seen after rubbing or scratching. Otherwise, there seems no skin changes. Only there is increased or decreased sensation. Patient feels paresthesia in localised area. Exact cause is not known.
You can consult the dermatologist for the firm diagnosis.
Treatment is not always necessary.. as it is not always successful. However, I would suggest...
-Cooling lotions containing menthol
-Capsaicin cream
-Local anaesthetic creams
-Amitriptyline orally
-Gabapentin or pregabalin orally
It is benign condition, so, do not worry. Have patience.
I hope this would help. If any query, you are welcome.
Thanks.

Thank you for the answer. I figured it was nothing complicated. I have some cooling cream, so i will try that and just wait for it to go away.
Have a great day and thank you again.
