Question : I hit my head on a bedpost over ayear ago went to emergency room said I had a concusion, but iam left with a dent, it causes some problems why would it still be there

The skull has an outer and inner tables of compact bone and a spongy layer in between. When you knocked your head on the bed post, the trauma broke the outer table and compressed the spongy middle layer producing a dent which is likely to remain as such for a long time.
There's nothing to worry about this as it hardly affects the brain in any way since the inner table of the skull is intact.
