What Causes A Sore And Watery Eye, Dry Lips And Jaw Pain?
Question: For the past 2 months I have had symptoms: right eye gets very sore, irritated, running, teary and then lips get very dry and jaw aches and sometimes throat. Symptoms stay a few days and get better but never completely go away. Eye (sometimes both eyes) are very irritated and red and teary. I went to Lenscrafters to get my perscription checked and othomologist 3 times and dentist 3 times and ENT twice. Had CT scan of head. no answers. Can you tell me what is going on. I go to Marin to visit grandchildren but otherwise I stay in SF.
Does this include the very very dry lips and thirst too. Do ENT doctors do allergy tests?

I read your question and i understand your concern. rd watery eyes followed by dry ones, irritating and runny nose and sore throat with all the work up normal is likely allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis and history of allergies and reactions to bug bites make it more likely. All you need is some good anti histamines, nasal corticosteroids sprays and more importantly work up to find the allergens to reduce the episodes frequency by avoiding it. Talk to an allergist and immunologist and let them help you in this regard.
Yes dry lips and thirst too is part of allergic airways infections. Allergen sensitivity tests can be done by ENT doctors but if you could find allergist and immunologist, that would be great.
