Brief Answer:
Can be due to multiple reasons, needs more details..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain knot on upper gum that is sore can be due to causes like Bony exostosis, osteoma, bony Torus etc..

I would like to know a few more details before I can guide you further?

1.Is the lump movable?
2.Is it soft and pliable or you feel like bone under the mucosa?
3.Do you feel fluid inside the lump?
4.Is the mucosa over the lump inflamed?
5.What is the exact location of the lump?

Please revert back with answers..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
