Brief Answer:
There can be many reasons.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. There has to be some irritation, dryness or congestion in your nose causing you to blow your nose with no mucus or secretions to blow out.

2. If the ENT consultants have examined your nose, upload the clinical examination notes and any investigation reports that may have been done.

3. The appearance of the inside of the nose will give an indication as to the likely causes.

4. Request a trial with an anti-histamine, mucolytics, steam inhalation and saline nasal washes.

5. Add more details describing the sensation, duration of symptoms, time of the day, one sided or both, relationship with climate change, sneezing and so on.

Thankyou doctor,
All suggestions have been tried.
The problem began in 2007 with very slight dryness in the eye slowly the eyes became gluey and finally affected my sight in 2010 . Now it feels as if my head is totally congested. One cosultant suggested that removing my head might help!
I am living in a kind of dream world and being told it is stress or psychosomatic
It isn't. I am a great believer in the interaction between the mind and the body.

Need to see reports and clinical notes,

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. Your eye symptoms seem to be those of allergic conjunctivitis, commonly seen with allergic rhinitis.

2. I doubt that you have tried hypertonic saline nasal washes as these are recent additions to the treatment of nasal allergy.

3. I need to see plain Sinus CT images, nasal endoscopy images, an allergy skin prick test result and detailed consultation notes of the previous ENT Specialists since direct examination is not possible here.

4. Vasomotor or intrinsic rhinitis can have similar symptoms but the treatment remains the same.

5. Exact details of previous treatments are important t help solve this issue.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
