Question: Hello. I have been using monistat to treat a yeast infection. After infection cleared i used it for an extra week. Now my penis head is peeling. Its like a thin white film that when a go to rub it off it looks skin peeling. I rub it all off and the next morning or two days after it happens again. Looks smegma like but i dont think its that. No odor at all. Is this a result of the monostat? Gland feel raw and inflamed after i rub it off

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The white film that you can see on the glans is due to a fungal infection. Only topical monistat is not sufficient to treat the infection. This needs oral antifungal agents after consulting a dermatologist or a urologist.
