Thanks very much for your question.

Firstly, it is a normal experience for XXXXXXX to feel like dressing like a woman. This is called transvestitism, or perhaps transgenderism, and has been accepted as something people are born with and cannot and should not be changed. You can help him by being accepting of this part of him and showing him love and support.

If he is depressed, which may be the case, he should see a psychiatrist who can prescribe an antidepressant such as Zoloft, Lexapro, or Prozac. He can also participate in therapy with a psychiatrist who can help him talk through the difficulties he is experiencing, including the stigma often associated with transvestite or transgendered individuals.

I do provide therapy on this website, if he is interested. You or he can reach me by my private link I provide below. I also provide telepsychiatry services at VideoMedicine.com if that interests you more.

don't know is this is real but if true would take a lot of money to make this long change or long just to find out his real self and I don't have money to help nor does his parents - what a shame if he falls through the cracks - I love him so much but am a widow - my wonderful husband has been dead for nineteen years, not sure XXXXXXX would talk with anyone and that scares me as I lost a friend one month ago ,she committed suicide by shooting herself in the chest and I found her, such a good friend but BiPolar - does insurance cover this?
