Brief Answer:
Dyspepsia most likely

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
I've gone through your details and I appreciate your concerns

Indigestion, also known as dyspepsia, is a term used to describe one or more symptoms including a feeling of fullness during a meal, uncomfortable fullness bloating belching after a meal, and burning or pain in the upper abdomen. It's not necessary that all symptoms are there in every patient.

Signs of proper digestion are-
No acid eructation. Feeling of strength and energy to work again. No difficulty in passing urine or stool. Feeling of lightness in the body, despite eating. Feeling hungry again at the right time of the next meal. No gas or bloating.

I would suggest you not to worry too much.

Take an antacid/proton pump inhibitor like Esomeprazole 40 mg twice daily along with a prokinetic drug (eg.Domperidone) for 5 days. This will provide you symptomatic relief from symptoms of dyspepsia (you may need to obtain a prescription for this from your local physician). It will help both with bloating and acid reflux.

Antacid like Pepto Bismol can be taken for few days along with it.
Any over counter probiotic like vsl#3 should be taken for few days to provide relief in symptoms of indigestion.
An external enzyme supplement should also be taken for few days.

Foods to be avoided-
Black pepper, red or hot pepper, chili powder, caffeine, regular and decaffeinated coffee or tea, alcohol, cocoa, chocolate, cola beverages, citrus fruits and juices, fatty and fried foods, tomato products, and peppermint.

Along with medications take light easily digestible food.

Please revert back to me after 5 days.

Thanks!

Brief Answer:
Follow up.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Yes, it could be reflux also, however, the possibility is that its indigestion overlapping acid reflux with gastritis. When food is not properly digested in intestines its acted upon by a number of toxic micro-organisms causing the production of a lot of toxic gases. The escape route for these gases are either through rectum or through mouth.

Relief on burping is suggestive of excessive gas in the abdomen.

However most of the times indigestion is accompanied by Gastritis and acid reflux also.

As of now answer to your question is GERD is characterized by heartburn and metallic taste in the mouth with pain in the chest as a result if inflammation in esophagus hence your symptoms are more specific of dyspepsia than GERD.

Problem with symptoms of the gut is that most of the times they are overlapping hence to reach a diagnosis just on the basis of history is very difficult.

Investigation suggested-
Upper GI-Endoscopy

Regards!
Thanks!
