What Causes Abdominal Fluttering And Passing Of Gas?

Question: I get a lot of flutterings in my stomach. I also pass gas often. I always worry and feel like something will explode in are me and go up to my heart. What can it be???
Brief Answer:
Gastric distension
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.
Abdominal fluttering is a very common feature which affects most people at least once during lifetime. it is a bothering condition but totally harmless.
The gastric distension somehow pushes towards the pericardial and pulmonary area with breathing discomfort especially when you are laying.
Avoid tight clothes and caffein based drinks, like cola, pepsi and stuff like this.
you should not worry about. It is totally a benign condition with no treatment needed.
Hope this helps. Best regards

When it happens I get frightened and my heart starts to race.. Is it anxiety??
Brief Answer:
Probably it is anxiety
Detailed Answer:
Hello. The mechanical distension of the stomach has no reason to cause increased cardiac frequency (tachicardia) So I think it just anxiety.
If anxiety becomes persistent you might consider taking a mild anxiolitic for a short period.
Greetings
