Posted on Wed, 3 Jun 2015
Question: Every now and then me and my wife have rough sex with multiple orgasims. Its been the second time we have done that and she ends up having fever and chills the next day or to with abdomen pain and body ache(flue like symtoms). Is this normal? What would cause this and why? none of us have discharge. She does have small bleeding after which I think is from the rough sex... She has told me she felt the abdomen pain before and she says its like when I have blue balls.. Any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
It may be a simple reaction of her body

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.

Chills after rough intercourse while it have happened for the second time, in my opinion is only a simple reaction of her body.

But while she have had lower abdominal pain before and after intercourse associated with bleeding, better is to exclude any infection.

Hence she should go for a detailed pelvic examination with vaginal swab to exclude /confirm infection and than she can take the proper treatment.

Best regards

Brief Answer:
As I say may be from rough intercourse

Detailed Answer:
Hi again!

Basically, she become excited, which means her heart pumps blood faster, so more blood circulates around her body and her body rises in temperature.
Also, sex requires energy, and producing energy always results in producing heat.
Hence ,this may the reason of fever.

Second opinion ,she may be near time of ovulation ,and during this time ,body temperature increases.

Does she have fever again?
If not ,there is nothing to worry about .
If yes she should have a detailed pelvic examination to exclude pelvic infection.
