Brief Answer:
This cannot be solely attributed to colitis!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. It could have started alongside colitis but the evolution of these symptoms over time cannot be solely attributed to colitis. I am considering other possible causes of this pain like fibromyalgia. The diffuse nature of your pains and the absence of any abnormality on examination and testing is very suggestive of this condition.

I will suggest that you get in contact with a rheumatologist for a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and appropriate management of this pain symptoms. In addition to your current medication, regular moderate intensity exercises and massages would prove helpful in controlling these symptoms. How would you describe the quality of your sleep?

In all, symptoms not explained by colitis. Other conditions like fibromyalgia should be evaluated. A rheumatologist would be of great help here.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
Thanks!

Detailed Answer:
Thoracic outlet syndrome is caused by compression of the nerves as they pass through the thorax. Best treatment is surgical to take care of this obstruction. Medical treatment in most cases is not enough. If the symptoms are tolerable, then surgery can be postponed as long as possible as this is always the last option to be considered after physical therapy and pain medications. What is the cause of your condition? any trauma/accidents/etc?

However, you rather complained of pains in the legs. This would not be caused by thoracic outlet syndrome. The numbness and tingling of the hands would be explained by the thoracic outlet syndrome.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.
