What Causes Abdominal Pain And Pimples After A Having Sex?
Question: I had sexual contact two years ago. I had been having on and off abdominal pain and really bad facial breakouts after 4 months since the contact. I recently got tested for hiv and it result is non reactive. I had a urine test before a few weeks after contact and was found out with trich that i treated with metronidazole 500mg for ten days. Symptoms like discharge and low abdominal pains went away. But then some left abdominal pain is still present. Before it was just painful on my left lower and now it is painful on the upper part too of my abdomen. No other sti or std test done yet. What std could cause this abdominal pain? I heard Chlamidya or Gonorrhea can cause.long term abdominal.pain. I took Azithromycin before so the Chlamidya should have been treated, right? I never took ceftriaxone for possible gonorrhea, if i do have it can ceftriaxone still cure it? The only things that are bothering me are this acne breakouts and persistent abdominal pain. Which std do u think i have. I plan to get std screening soon.

As I can understand from your query you are correlating all of these medical problems with sexual contact and therefore to any of the possible sexually transmitted diseases and specially to HIV, Chlamidya or Gonorrhea.
In view to help you better I request you to kindly tell me certain important points:
- Was the intercourse protected one or unprotected one.
- Was it with known person or unknown person.
- Do you feel discharge from vagina. If yes then the consistency, color and odor of the vaginal discharge.
- Do you feel any burning, itching during urination. If yes then is it mild/moderate/ severe.
- Your menstrual history or any history of irregular menses.
- For your pimple part - how may eruptions do you experience every week.

it was unprotected and with someone i dated for few weeks. my menses are ok, no irregularities. no discharges, no painful urination .. severe breakouts like in my whole face all at once now, first.it was just like 5 in 2 days.. now my face is full and it continues to breakout. my abdominal pain, i felt it before on the left lower abdominal area, now, i don't feel it on the lower part anymore, instead i feel the pain in the upper left right under my rib and sometimes at the back of the same side. what really bothers me is this continues abdominal pain that has been on and.off? what std can cause this? can it still be treated after two years?

Thanks a lot for sending important information regarding your health issues of acne and pain abdomen.
After analyzing your query with complete diligence let me first and foremost reassure you that your health problems do not seems to be related to any type of sexually transmitted disease including HIV, Chlamydia or Gonorrhea or any other minor or major STDs.
There are two parts of problem: One is related to your acne and the other is related to pain abdomen.
Acne on one hand is not at all related to any sexually transmitted infection and pain abdomen described by you is also not related to any STDs.
Acne or pimples generally erupts basically due to hormones (chemicals which are influencing one or other body functions including growth, puberty and development of body in adults) in addition to the influence of certain other factors causing its aggravation.
Basic XXXXXXX the hormone testosterone (androgens) and its bye-products play the most important role in high oil secretion and increase the size of oil glands especially in males. Because of more oil secretion the pores or ducts of the glands are blocked leading to formation of pimples.
In females there is not a direct presence of testosterone but the female hormones turns into the testosterone and other of related chemicals. I can make out that your Androgen hormone is towards higher side and therefore there is irregularity in menses too.
There are certain other factors such as application of oily or creamy products, over exposure to sunlight, heat and humidity or due to pinching, popping and squeezing of the pimples also leads to formation of pimples.
You are just 24 years at this time and acne can very much appear before the age of 25 years. I have personally seen that in females stress play a very important role in aggravation of pimples. In your case too it appears that stress is causing major impact on pimples. So reduce your stress of every kind.
Regarding pain abdomen: though considering the area of involvement and type of continuous pain relates its pathology to liver or surrounding structures basically. If you feel your appetite has decreased along with pain then is an important indication of the liver problem. Again to tell you that there is no sexually transmitted infection which can cause isolated pain abdomen only. IN most of the STIs there is always virginal discharge, burning in urination and associated lower abdominal pain and not upper one sided abdominal pain. So do not get worried about the possibility of any STD including HIV.
For your acne part though you require proper treatment but there are certain suggestions which you can follow:
1.Do not pinch, pop or squeeze any area on face.
2. Do not apply any creamy or oily stuff or any other cosmetics over face.
3. Try to avoid any home remedies suggested by your friends or family members or otherwise self implicated therapies also.
