What Causes Abdominal Pain Exacerbated By Postural Changes?

Question: I fell on my right front stomach area into a laundry basket. It is going on six months now. It is painful walking, getting up and it burns inside and hurts.
Brief Answer:
Muscle tear.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain that you have is a muscular pain as it aggravates on change in posture. There can be a minor muscle tear which has not healed properly due to inadequate rest. You can do a regular hot compress and apply a local analgesic gel. Avoid all painful activities. it will gradually heal on its own.
I hope this answers your query.

Should I be watching how much weight I am lifting? What would I need to do when I talk to my doctor. Should I have an xray done or MRI to see for sure? Thank you Amy Walton
Brief Answer:
Avoid weight lifting.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You need to cut down all painful activities and weight lifting. Since it is a soft tissue injury only MRI scan can detect if there is any problem or not. Hot compress and local analgesic gel application will help.
Hope my answer is helpful.
