What Causes Abdominal Pain While On Antibiotics?
Question: Hi,
My wife has multiple nymph nodes movable near neack, doctor prescribed zecof cv 500, Pan D, Telekast F, and enzoflam, but from two days she is suffering from severe abdomen pain yesterday it was so much that it is uncontrollable and I haven't given medicine to her.
Please suggest what to do in this case.

Stop all medicines except Pan D.

Since when are the nodes seen or felt?
Is there any pain in the throat or fever?
If not, then you can safely stop all the medicines prescribed to you except Pan D which will help in this condition.
She has been put on strong antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines which causes abdomen pain, nausea and diarrhea also. She probably does not need all these medicines specially if there is no pain in the neck or throat or fever.
You can show her to an ENT Specialist after a few days once this pain subsides.
Give her only Pan D twice a day till then.

Thanks for the reply. The nodes were seen 3 to 4 days before I went to doctors and it was paining when she press it. but there were no throat pain, no fever nothing. But once I started taking medicine on 11th, I got strong stomach pain starting 11th night. and I stopped the medicine on 12th night. so today she is ok, no stomach pain, only slight headache and having some problem in tongue and throat may be due to the heat of medicine. The doctor has done nasal endoscopy, I will attach and send you if needed, Please let me know. and also suggest. Actually she was restless due to stomach pain, so I am fearing to take her to same doctor.

Start Tab Paracetamol 500mg three times a day along with the PAn d for 5 days. Meanwhile, see an ENT Specialist and tell him about the stomach pain experience so that they will be careful of giving strong antibiotics. But for now she can be put on these two medicines for 3 to 5 days. The node swellings however will take 5 to 8 weeks to resolve. Do not worry about them.

I went to the same doctor today and told the stomch pain problem, then he changed the medicine and new medicine are capodem xp 325mg,enzoflam sv, pan d,gavision, lexanox for mouth ulcer which happened due to medicine, and clonex for gargling, but I m not giving these currently, am giving B complex for mouth problem and dologel to apply, once mouth is ok then will start the dose prescribed by him. Please suggest if these are fine or should we continue with other medicine.But for now I am planning to take one day medicine an if fine then will continue.
