Question: Hi, I have pain in my gut. It is hard and I am nauseated to the point of vomiting soon. I can't eat or feel too nauseated to try. Earlier I woke and my face was flushed. A sickening smell from burping. I am a 50 year old female

Hi,

I went through the query and understood your concern.

The current symptoms may be due to XXXXXXX or upper GI problem. Since you had sickening smell from burping along with nausea the reason may be indigestion or upper GI problem.

SO for now drink plenty of water and antiemetic/prokinetic drugs like ondansetron or metoclopramide along with proton pump inhibitor (PPI) may help you. If spasmodic pain the antispasmodic drug like dicyclomine will help in pain recovery and vomiting. These are for acute treatment.

If the pain and other symptoms persists then you need to consult your doctor once for evaluation for the cause and management accordingly.
