Brief Answer:
looks like gastroenteritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

You seem to be having gastritis with gastroenteritis (food poisioning). Though gastroenteritis is a self-limiting condition, you need to take plenty of fluids to make for the lost fluid and also take electrolyte solution like WHO-ORS to maintain electrolyte imbalance.

If it doesn’t improves with this then you need to take a course of antibiotics like ofloxacin and ornidazole. Also take some ppi tablets like pantaprazole or ornidazole with domperidone for the gastritis and nausea. And preprobiotics capules to restore her health gut bacterial flora.

That warm liquid is nothing but your intestinal contents and they will come out eventually.

Hope I have been helpful.

is the blood a reason for concern for ulceration? would a fever be a sign i NEED the antibiotics?

Brief Answer:
no - for both

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As the blood was there only once, so no need to worry about it. If it reoccurs then we will see about it.

Antibiotics need to be started after 3-4 days of treatment with preprobiotics and ORS and diet, if they fail to stop the diarrhea.

Till then eat healthy and hygenic to prevent a repeat attack. Eat more of fresh curds and bananas.

Get well soon.
