What Causes Abnormal Discharge And Irritation In The Penis?
Question: I have mild irritation in my penis and mild discharge. what medicines best can treat this? and how long does it take to resolve?

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have penile discharge and irritation in penis .

1) Did you have unprotected sex before getting these symptoms ?
2) Do you have other urinary symptoms like burning ,pain etc ?
Get following basic tests done to help in establishing diagnosis
1)Routine urine test and urine culture to find out the organisms causing this
infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
2) Swab test of a discharge from urethra
In the mean while start taking broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime or Erythrocin along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.
Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
