What Causes Abnormal Light Menstrual Bleeding?

Question: Hi My wife had period, started on 24th and stopped on 25th.. this was the first time, it was stopped in 2 days. Actually we are expecting pregnancy... so we would like to consult a gynecologist for this issue.

In my opinion, if the bleeding which was for 2 days is also less in amount than usual then it might be investigated.
I need further information like:-
1) How many years of marital life?
2) Have you used contraception?
3) When was her last period date in December?
4) Does she have regular cycles?
5) Does she have any complaints like pain abdomen?
6) Was this cycle delayed?

1. its be 9 months
2. no contraception
3. its on 25th December. now 24th XXXXXXX
4.s its 29 days
5.yes, she had pain before period, this month. little stomach pain also
6. no. but happened one day before as compare to regular cycle

And this time bleeding is normal for those two days. comparatively less than last month

Then, can she take anti biotic tablets for a wound in leg. Tablet: Augumentin 625 dose.

Hello sir,I got your information.Iam happy to
know that she has regular cycles.
In my opinion as she had periods on date( one day before expected date is normal) and normal bleeding mostly it might be her normal period only.Sometimes stress regarding pregnancy or anything also alters the cycle or bleeding.
But however this period is not like usual period I suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done .And if the test is negative you can take Augmentin 625 mg tablets.
But if the test is weakly positive or any irregular bleeding or spotting occurs or if this repeats in furthur cycles then you might need to consult a gynaecologist and get investigated for any thyroid or other hormonal abnormalities.
Usually infertility treatment is started if pregnancy doesn't occur even after one year of unprotected intercourse.So as you are 9 months there is still 3 months time to try for pregnancy normally.Try to participate in intercourse daily to increase the chances of conception.

we will do the urine pregnancy test and will proceed further.
when can we do this test? Shall we try it tomorrow?
And FYI its been second month since we started trying.

In my opinion the test can be done tomorrow.Do it with first morning urine sample for accurate results.
I knew from your history that you have been trying since just 2 months for pregnancy.As her cycles are normal and you both dont have any hormonal or other problems there will be good results soon.As I told you in previous query regular participation increases the chances of conception.
