What Causes Abscesses On Stomach, Armpit, Leg And Knee After Blood Transfusion?
Question: Hello i had a c-section 7 weeks ago and i lost a lot of blood, i ended up getting 5 bags of ab negative blood transfused, now im told that i have anemia and since i have had various Abscess on my stomach, under arm, leg and now knee. i had never had one before and im wondering if it could be a side effect of the transfusions.

Brief Answer:
Abscess after 6 days is unlikely to be due to blood transfusion.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
If the abscesses appeared 6 days after blood transfusion then probably the abscesses are not due to blood transfusion.
There is some other cause for them.
Low immunity, anemia etc can predispose to infections.
The infections have to be managed in first place and hemoglobin levels has to be brought to normal level.
