What Causes Absence Of Menstruation For 6 Months?

Question: Hi, I haven't had but one period in the past 6 months. I've take. Pregnancy test but all came out negative. My boobs get sore right before my period and they have a time or two while not on my period. I'm on 65 mg of methadone per day. Getting to the point. Could my periods stop? But me still experience period systoms?

The absence of periods for last 6 months can be due to anorexia, drug abuse, hormonal imbalance or polycystic ovaries. You need to have a detailed evaluation of all the hormones to find out the cause of delay of periods.
It is not likely that the periods have stopped altogather. The periods will restart once the hormonal therapy is given after proper investigations.
