Now this time its more than 60days but still she did not get periods. Pregnancy negative. Also we did pelvis scan last week and there is no indication of PCOD. Can you suggest whats the next action?

Brief Answer:
You should go for progesterone withdrawal bleeding

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can see your concern here.

As her pelvic scan is normal and thyroid test result is normal and her pregnancy test is negative, some possibilities of absence menses are ruled out.

She should first confer with a gynecologist and take progesterone for 10 days and see for withdrawal bleeding (it is also called progesterone challenge test).

If she gets withdrawal bleeding that means her estrogen is normal, and may be her cycles are anovulatory, so we can feed her drugs to induce ovulation.

If she will not get withdrawal bleeding that means her estrogen level are down.

Simultaneously, she should run for a hormone test (LH, FSH, prolactin, androgen level) and hysteroscopy to rule out any other uterine pathology.

-She should take healthy and balanced diet rich in fruits and veggies and low in carbohydrate to maintain her weight.
-Do some yoga and physical exertion.
-Drinking a lot of water
- Do not carry stress.

Hope it is useful, kindly revert back to me with her results.

Good luck.
Regards
D. .Richa
