
What Causes Absence On Periods After Stopping Thyronorm?

Good Morning,
Thanks a and appreciate your followup.
I am XXXX and i have raised a for my wife related to Thyroid and irregular periods.
Eltroxin is not able in the market and as a replacement she started taking Thyronorm 50 MG, however she started getting headache within a couple of days. For now she stopped taking Thyronorm.
She is taking Metformin 500 MG for last 10 days. It has been nearly 3.5 months since her last mensus.
Requesting your advice please.

Dear Mr. XXXXXXX hi! sorry to say but as your wife has stopped thyroxine , we must know her thyroid balance as of now . headache could have multiple reasons, but her thyroid was doing good with 50 mcg of thyrox. metformin she has taken only for 10 days, it will take time to bring the LH/FSH balance, meanwhile stopping thyroxine would have again disturbed the balance. hormonal issues are delicately balanced and are intricately connected. for now you can tell me the recent TSH & FT4 , then we will decide what has to be done. regards!
