Brief Answer: It may not be enough to cure . Detailed Answer: Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. There are two types of respiratory infection. Upper respiratory infection, including throat, larynx, etc, it is usually dry cough. The other is lower respiratory infection, infection in the trachea, bronchi, and broncioles, and alvoli. The problem may be of two types, allergy and infection. Either of them may be upper or lower. It also may be due to the eosinophelia, and that condition is to be cured to get completely cured. To decide what type of infection, physical examination, blood tests, and xray may be necessory. So i advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. If the phlegm is more and there is broncho constriction, there will be wheezing, and dyspnoea. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms amoxycillin 500mg, theophylline, citrizine, and di ethyl carbamazine citrate till the diagnosis is established. Avoid taking frouts, juices, icewater, icecream, and the things allergic to you. Avoid exposure to the dust. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
